Very good multiregion player for the price I just followed the procedure at[]and now it plays UK and USA DVDs just fine. I haven't yet tried Bluray discs but no reason to think that won't work well.
Perfect No frills 3D Player Crappy Remote Make it Region free with Service Hack I was searching for a low cost multiregion player as I had region A B and C disks. Did not want it with wifi or smart TV functions since I already have them in my LG Cinema 3D smart TV though I hardly use them also.I got to know that Toshiba can be made region free by applying a region free firmware which is available freely so ordered it here in amazon.co.ukThe item reached me here in India within 1 week.The blue LED illuminated bluray logo on the front looks cool although you have an option to turn it off.The remote is a bit cheap and nasty at once you ll feel you holding a hollow plastic box but that's okay since It's the functionality that matters more. Anyway I shall be using my Harmony 900.Connected it yesterday to my LG LW6500. Patched it with the region free firmware. Played region A Tangled 3D worked nicely.The DVD can be set to multiregion permanently but you ll need to change the region every time you put a BD of different region but if you ve set it to say Region A and everytime you are watching Region A BD you don't need to change.Checked different region disks and all worked perfectly.Anyway I am totally satisfied with my purchase. Anyone looking for a cheaper 3D Blu Play Player should look no further.

An update is needed TOSHIBA 3D BLURAY PLAYER.This came free when I brought the Toshiba 3D LED 40inch TV.Not too much to say works absolutely perfectly. Oh just one thing I have watched about 6 3D films with no problem but when I came to watching Captain America don't judge! on 3D it would not play. I had to download a firmware update off the Toshiba website onto a USB then slot this directly into the Bluray not the TV and follow the easy upgrade instructions on the TV and which you can print off from the website. But it's so easy to do you don't really need to. Captain A 3D then worked perfectly so this should not happen again.Even if this is no longer offered as a package I think this Bluray offers excellant value for money.
What a price!!! When I first saw this price at first glance it was not such a surprise as it could have been these days for a budget Bluray playerbut only at first glance that is.When you look more closely thee 3200 has a fair few trick up its sleeve to keep the most ardent value seeker happy. It is of course a fully functional and rather decently enabled Bluray player that give a good clear and strong picture and delivers all the lossless audio you will ever need. For that money and the TOSHIBA namethat might be enough for most cautious buyers.But it's when you look 'under the bonnet' that the really interesting stuff starts to show itself. For a start this is also a fully functional 3D equipped machine so matched up to a 3D TV it will give you all the depth of field that the new 3D systems either polarised/passive or shutter/active can provide and it does it well. But it also does it with full provision of the lossless audiounlike the PS3 which if you are using it for your 3D viewing will happily and efficiently give you the visuals but with only the regular DD5.1 and DTS via optical exactly as from regular DVDs.But the best bit the very best bit is that you can easily update this machine with totally 100% official TOSHIBA firmware to make it region free for DVDs from anywhere in the world which it will then obligingly upscale to 1080p and so give you a very much improved image from your ordinary discs.But the cream of the cropThis simple piece of 100% official firmware will also give you access to adjusting the Bluray region so you can buy your Blurays with confidence from the internet conventionsetc and this machine will be able to handle them. There is no 'multiregion' option for Bluray in the same way as there is for DVD so you physically have to set it for the region you want it to play. Obviously if most of your collection is region B or an unlocked region A that's how it will stay for most of the time anyway. It's only when you need to play a locked region A disc that you'd need to switch it. It really does sound more complicated than it actually is it literally takes about 10 seconds!An exceptional machine with great features and an unbeatable price point. It is very hard to argue with those qualities.
Good blue ray DVD Good picture quality but not a multiregion DVD player which is highly inconvenient. Came free with my TV purchase so not complaining too much.
Great bluray Player Excellent bluray player. Very hiquality picture and sound. Plays all described disc/formats and DIVX and MKV files too. Menu settings are flexible.
TOSHIBA BDX3200KB works well This is a solid quiet 3D player that compliments any smart 3D TV as you usually don't need smart functions on both.It looks better than photo is quite slim and so far plays all my recorded BD's that the Sharp DBHP25S didn't It can also be made multiregion with a fimware change.

Premier AV SBD9020 multiregion I was looking for a portable DVD player that would play region 1 and 2 DVD'S and come upon this one.I am most pleased with it .It holds it charge well and the booklet helps if you read the set up first ! It is very easy to use and it came with a carry case.
premier av dvd player PRO This little machine is very light and easy to use.CONS It has no flashing green light that it mentions when it is plugged in for charging. Sooo I don't know if it is working and if it is charging. Has a little user manual and in this little book it mentions that there should be a green flashing charging light???? The cord is very short. Also found the answer to my question about charging!!! problem with charging the plug does not fit snug and to charge it the plug has to be put into the wall socket carefully so that it is not flush with the socket because the machine won't show a green charging light. Fiddlely thing!!!Added addition to this item.The machine has now packed up and it has blown the system. Plug it in and it plays for 2 minutes then it sparks and doesn't go on again.
it really is multi region Yes it really will play R1 dvds for us in the UK frustrated at not being able to get well known old classics.No codes no going on internet and trying to follow complicated instructions that never actually work no risking warrenties.. just put in a R1 disk and at last I can watch 'Foolish wives' or whatever I can get. Fantastic.There seemed to be 2 region free players to choose from this and a Hyundi. This one had very few reviews but all posative the hyundi had several some very posative some very negative about the quality so I picked this one. I have only had it a week or so so no comment on reliability. I It feels ok .. looks perhaps a little plastic well it is what else should it look likethe instructions are brief simple and moderatly clear. Set up and operation are very simple and I am a very 'non tech' person with an aversion to modern electronic devices..It should be able to feed into my TV for larger screen viewing but I havn't risked trying that yet!But above all this seems the simplest way to view R1 disks I have found. Very glad I bought it.
Superb picture quality of multiregion player As advertised the player would have no issue at all to playback all region DVDs from USA Far east etc and this is one of the strong good points for this player. The picture quality is crystal clear better than any other branded stuffs and sound via earphone & speaker is quite rich & strong. Flash memory devices thru USB ports/SD card slots are well recognised and even most of the video contents and avi files stored into external Hard Drives have been successfully played.
Excellent Budget player with Multiregion I had been looking for Multiregion players for some time and took chance to buy this from Amazon. I am now very pleased with my decision as this little player is upto my expectation for all main features such as playingback all region dvds straight out of the box fantastic qualities of sound and picture and variety of usb & sd/mmc card slots ports.Playback duration via battery would be more than 3 hours and it is a bonus that it came well packed and supplied with all you need i.e. main power plug car charger av cable earphone carry case and remote.This is a very practical player at a resonable value.
Great little piece of kit! Have been using this for a few days now and think that it is gr8! I will outline my experience of itPROS1 Gr8 to keep the kids occupied not only on long journeys such as long drives or flights but I've also found it useful in restaurants especially when you are going out in family groups! Just put the volume low and chuck a movie on and voila! The kids are kept busy and remain relatively quiet!2 Has a USB port reads my flash drive like a dream & is easy to navigate. It plays a DVDR disc OK but ticks like a clock all the way through which can be distracting at close quarters. Love it Just a quick edit to say that a year + later this product is still going strong in all ways and even with a little accidental abuse from my two year old along the way. Love this product.This DVD has been a life saver for our long plane trips and road trips with our 2 year old toddler.It has excellent picture and sound quality. It comes with everything you need battery ear plugs remote power cord car charger!The buttons take some getting used to but read the instructions and you'll get used to it quick enough.Remote needs to be pointed dead on for it to work which still makes it tricky to turn on or manipulate from the front seat.There is an indicator light on the front of the player that shows green blinking for it charging and green solid for it being fully charged.The battery lasts for one full length movie about 2 hours.My only complaint about the player is that it seems to take forever to recharge it.

What I expected which was exactly what I wanted Solid construction exactly as described worked first time. Fitting drive is straightforward provided you have precision screwdrivers. Note if the faceplate of the drive you want to fit is contoured in any way and not entirely flat/rectangular for example see HP ProBook 4320s optical drive you must be prepared to cut down either the drive's faceplate or the enclosure's aluminium outer case and plastic end frame. This is fairly clear from the image shown but more so if you look at the additional product images & manual on the STARTECH.COM UK web page UK web page [].

Very Impressive This is my first external DVD drive
nero difficult to install I love the portability of this product i've used it to watch dvd movies with my samsung n20 netboook excellent. The only problem so farI got annoyed with the cd rom Nero that came with the package several attempts to install and it took ages only to find out that it wouldn't download so now I cant burn discs what a shame if this matter is not rectified.
Great little piece of kit Really pleased with my new DVD drive my Macbook's internal drive had died a few months ago and I was beginning to get very frustrated with not being able to install software from CDs or play DVDs etc. However that has all changed now my Samsung has arrived. Yes it uses two USB slots but this isn't a problem if you're not using anything else at the same time. It's also nice that now when I want to play a DVD my Macbook doesn't sound like it's about to take off. Very reasonable price excellent buy.
Excellent excellent product well worth the money. Its seamless when it comes to connectivity with devices. It worked fined with linux mac and windows.
A solid option for an Apple Mac I bought this to replace the 'popped' drive in my Apple Imac. I looked at the options from Apple expensive repairs or their own very expensive external drive and decided to go with the Samsung drive instead. After receiving it I plugged it into a USB port and off it went with no software downloads needed or any setting up easy.It's a very cleanly designed unit comes in Appley white is USB powered so no ugly power cables/tranformers and fits very neatly on the aluminium foot of the Imac. It's also a bit quieter than the original inbuilt drive which is a bonus.All in all I'm very happy with it and at £25 I can't find anything to fault.
So far excellent! I have used this drive for backing up several full DVD's and it has been perfectly behaved and as fast as our external powered Samsung drive. It is so convenient to use with our Samsung notebooks without long trailing cables! Would recommend highly.

NIFTY LITTLE NUMBER I bought this as the internal disc drive in my old Acer which I was going to pass on to my stepson had stopped working. It is small enough to fit into one of the small pockets in the laptop bag and worked simply on a plug and play basis.
works a dream using with Mac OSX. a far more reliable drive than my mac mini drive. love mac software but i think their cd drives could do a lot better. for £25 this is a perfect complement to your apple set up.

Great little DVD player Elegant especially when wall mounted next to Flat Screen TV You get a simple DVD player that is small thin lightweight. I chose white so that it blends into my white wall.I mounted it below and to side of my flat screen tv so there is very little cabling the power cable runs with the TV cable and I use an HDMI cable to connect it to my TV there is also a SCART cable option on it.You slip in a DVD and select the relevant HDMI input on the TV. Then I hit the play button on the player.Thereafter control is via its remote control. The remote looks a bit cheap in that the buttons are small knobbly things but it has more functions than I would ever need. Hit the eject button on the player and the DVD pops smoothly out.Its ticks all the boxes as a DVD player and the price is a fraction of something that would sit on a table and take up space with cables and need dusting.Would love it to play BluRay and link to my wifi but that will be next years model.
Stylish..but that's where the positives end! This went straight back to the seller for a refund. It may have been poor quality control but everything about this DVD player smacked of poor quality except maybe the appearance! It flatly refused to play prerecorded DVD after DVD I didn't even try DVDRs or the like. When it eventually played something it was so noisy in operation that it drowned the sound of the DVD. The remote control looks like something from the 1980s put your £60.00 towards something better there's plenty of better options out there.

failed product from first receiving the freeview hd tuner it had two faults it shut down on tuner mode after 10 mins and the hd tuner picture strobes on background scenes with detail in it .it is still awaiting parts for repair.
LG HR600 The Player arrived as advised in good order my partner found it easy to set up however do have a few issues with the remote control but over all picture quality is good it records well and it does what is says on the box. Very please with the product.
LG HR600 Before purchasing this item I had read mixed reviews concerning the LG HR600. However having searched an array of products and not swayed by some of its reviewers more negative remarks I opted for this particular box. I can only say that I am thoroughly pleased with the LG player. It does seem to meet with all it claims to provide in terms of quality and quantity. Obviously only time will tell as to how long that quality will last. But all in all it gives all possible means of viewing a vast collection of content and in many different methods. I found its capability to share content from my pc through wireless connection an absolute boon. I feel that the Netcast facility could be a bit more extended to more viewing options. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.

Pretty good. While there aren't too many reviews on this product on Amazon or elsewhere I would tend to agree with most of the points raised by other reviewers here. The menus are fairly easy to use but set out in a mildly annoying way. Setting a programme to record is very simple though just by pressing the Guide button on the remote control and selecting what you want to record from the EPG. I have recorded quite a few programmes now and have not had any issues with it not stopping recording at the end a problem mentioned by others. All of shows I set recorded correctly even when one programme I had set to record was delayed by an overrun of a live football match beforehand the EPG automatically detected this and the show recorded from start to finish.The picture quality on the Freeview HD channels is better than SD TV but the quality does seem to fluctuate sometimes compared to
Gutted High expectaions of the Christmas present from my wife turned to dissapointment for us all.Set machine up for big music show of DVD's Christmas day only for the first Disk to FREEZE at the end of the first chapter.To date 7th March 2012 this happens with three DVD's not all music.I called LG Support on 9th Jan 2012 and was told an update would be issued in about two months time.Two months later nothing so called LG Support again and was told there is NO UPDATE and there is NOTHING they could do.Oh and to rub salt in the wound I used the EPG recording facility only to see the machine stop recording half way through the transmission.
LG HR600 3D Bluray Player with Freeview HD I have had the LG HR600 for a few months now and have found it perfect for what we required. We had bought a 37 LG TV with no HD tuner while we still had an older DVD hard disc recorder so it made sense to upgrade to a HD recorder so we could benefit from HD broadcasts. It gives you a good Bluray player with excellent picture quality and the ability to connect to and watch the BBC IPlayer should you have forgotten to record something. There is no 4OD or 5 on demand but that for us was no big deal. The ability to record programs straight from the TV Guide with the press of a button on the remote is simplicity welcomed after years of fiddling with other methods. So if you have an older TV with HD quality but no HD tuner and want a good Bluray player with a hard drive recorder I would quite happily recommend this unassumming box.
Love it!!!! Short and sweet. I think this is brilliant. Had a really cheap one before so anything would have been better but this is really good quality.

Good and bad Great BluRay player with easy to use menu. But with no connection to an external input like Sky the HDD can only be used from the internal tuners which if you live in a house like mine that has no external terrestrial ariel the HDD becomes redundant.

great HDD had this for a month now and have seen very little that disapointed me so far. was worried about some of the negative reviews on here and took me some time to take the plunge but very glad that i did. easy to set up and to retune too essential as just gone fully digital but that means that i know can comment on freeview HD too. menu's are simple to use but have used a panasonic before. the HD pictures are crisp and true and will be the default for all recording from now on. remote was easy to set up both for the Tv control samsung and also to change frequency due to other panasonic equipment.
Distinctly poor Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Programme
Can't believe how ell this integrates with my Viera TV and Panasonic surround sound system. Excellent in all respects the EPG the Direct Navigator function and the tuner quality leave nothing to be desired. Built in function makes it very easy to set different remote frequencies for the various devices but in truth most of the time either the TV or the PVR remote suffice to control the TV or playpack.
Easy to use and great performance I purchased this for an 80 year old to help him through the digital switchover analogue recorder only . Took me 10 mins to get it set up and working and after 45 mins he was able to record including two channels at onceseries record play back and delete everything he needs. He is convinced the picture quality is better via thias box than from the inset digital tuner but not sure about this myself.
PVR recomended This is a great bit of kit I find series record stops you forgetting to set up your recorder and I especially like the button that lets you jump forward 60 seconds Though finding how to stop the remote interacting with my DVD took a bit of searching. All in all I would recommend it.Two negative points1/You cant transfer any thing to an external media.
Absolutely Brilliant!! I spent some time reviewing options and was surprised at the number of makes and models receiving negative comments poor quality picture difficult to set up unreliable programming etc etc. Notwithstanding my scepticism that many online product reviewers are little more than serial moaners I'd almost decided not to bother. Yet persuaded by the past history of Panasonic products I decided to go for this model. What a surprise a truly pleasant surprise. I unpacked and connected it switched it on and it proceeded to set itself up. The only thing lacking on the setup display was a message saying stand over there and don't touch anything until I tell you for that is what the setup sequence amounted to! I was viewing within 10 minutes and recording within 15 minutes. Three months on and I can say that this has a fantastic quality picture in LD and HD excellent sound really clear programme guide deady easy and I mean dead easy! recording setup totally reliable series recording including picking up late schedule changes to broadcast timing. The documentation appears detailed and thorough but following the principle of refer to the manual only when you run into a problem I've hardly had to look at it. If you're seeking quality simplicity and dependability no need to look any further buy this product.
Well worth the money Purchased this product after considering several others. The price was very good considering what some other stores were asking. The Item arrived in good order and within time stated. The recorded programmes present an excellent picture.The initial setup is easy does it itself . The remote is easy to use. With a compatible TV and HDMI cable HD IS very good. Also the SD card slot etc. lets you view your pictures on the TV. Overall well pleased with purchase.
Panasonic DMRHW100EBK review Something that is not made clear in the prepurchase information on this product is that it will not work with a nonHDMI equipped tv. However connected to an uptodate tv the performance is impressive particularly if one has been used to vcr. The ability to record and watch playback simultaneously plus the pause live tv option is very useful and the storage capacity should be more than adequate for tv use although using it as an archive for music pictures etc as well might create limitations.As to the operating instructions they are not always easy to follow as Panasonic use many acronyms without explaining what they mean a glossary would be helpful and the index is not as comprehensive as it could be.

The quality of the recorded programmes is indestinguishable from the actual broadcasts. Especially good on HD. Also useful is the ability to record 2 programmes on at the same time.
