    Prone to bricking on software updates. Why are LG's software engineers incapable of writing stable updates?Bought this device three months ago and has been working fine until I updated the software via device's settings interface. After updating the device would not restart the update had failed and corrupted the firmware rendering it 'bricked'. It was still in warranty so LG have promised to have engineers fix it. When I asked them if they would have fixed it outside the warranty period considering it was their own update that bricked it they said they wouldn't. So they're basically saying that you can't risk updating it outside the warranty.
    LG BD670 Smart Blu Ray Player Excellent piece of kit. I bought it to replace a very ancient DVD player. Before I started using it I downloaded the most recent drivers from the LG website onto a flash drive and carried out an immediate update.The player produces excellent picture quality from DVDs and BBC IPlayer in high definition is stunning the clarity of the images impressed myself and my wife.I'm running it on a wifi link to my netgear router and the only problems I've had were1 failing to remember that I'd use upper and lower case letters in the security password2 losing internet connection which is down to BT's copper cable and rain in the local cupboard!For the price it's great value for money like my LG TV.
    Tire some Found the BD670 ok good play backwhen it was not turning it self off or freezingAlso could be slow in connecting to apps.In general not worth the effort.
    Bluray Tried the equivalent Sony and Panasonic to begin with both more expensive and didn't work properly noisy and issues with WIFI so returned. The LG BD670 ticked all my boxes the internal WIFI is brilliant lots of apps although I mainly use iPlayer and Love Film. Highly recommend and great value.
    Clarity An excellent machine which provides crystal clear images on the screen. Easy to set up and straightforward to operate.Good value for the money.
    8 out of ten As far as players go this has all the bells and whistles to make a great viewing of 3D and HD movies.But when it comes to smart stuff its not as goodas a lot of the content is just the same as a smart TV.LG has its own appsand most of these i believe a lot of people would not use.As a 3D player you would expect to see a premium app that lets you stream down 3D content just like samsung.
    Unreliable I bought this largely on the basis of positive reviews and it does have some good points. Picture and sound quality are both great however reliability is a major issue. The first unit I had kept crashing and would need to be unplugged every other day to reboot. This was replaced by Amazon within the 28 day window. The second unit seemed OK although niggles included Wifi range being signficantly worse then a Sony BDPS570 that I also own. In the end I had to swap the units round from the rooms I had intended as although the Sony could pick up a Wifi signal in either room the LG would only connect if it was much closer to the router. The other minor irritation was that although it has a 1080p 24 Hz mode for blu rays if you turn this option on then it also tries to play BBC iplayer at 24Hz which results in major flickering and stuttering. You either have to keep manually changing the modes which is slow and clumsy or leave it in 50Hz mode. The Sony will auto switch depending on the content that is being played. I wouldn't consider either of these issues major though and they would not justify a 1 star review. The real problem is that the 2nd unit has failed completely at under 2 months old. It has gone back to the LG service center who have advised that a new part is required from LG and they are unable to give a timescale on this.
    LG BD670 Smart 3D Bluray Player Purchased this from Amazon Warehouse and received the unit within 2 days. Using only FOC Standard Delivery this was mighty impressive.The Bluray Player was listed as new but not in original box. Hence repackaged and priced accordingly.Wow great bargain..!! Seemed brand new and with a substantial discount to boot.The Player performs as new and as it should. And was painless and straightforward to set up. The LG Smart interface and WiFi connectivity bringing a nice sense of upgrade to the party.Can thoroughly recommend both the Player and Amazon Warehouse.Good Kit + Good Price = Great Deal..!!!Thanks Amazon.
    Great Does exactly what it says on the box. Returns excellent quality from standard DVDs and the bluray is superb. I find it particularly useful in streaming video direct from my PC or direct from the internet I just hope LG connects with the NFL before too long and gives the same service you get for basketball and baseball.
    Nice but not for a small room Looks good and is indeed a very nice Bluray player could not fault it for quality. I did in fact return this item as I bought to use in a small bedroom but found it not to suitable in this instance. It was very noisy when in play mode and the noise was audiable above the sound on the tv. Amazon were excellent and exchanged the item very quickly but the second player was just the same. Amazon then refunded me with no problems.
