Great DVD Players These DVD players are great. The screens are amazing compared to my older Nextbase players and the clickandgo brackets are a lot neater and more secure. I do have some minor niggles though hence the four stars. Firstly the power cable is reasonably long but once it splits into two for the screens it's too short. It works fine in the back seats of my VW Touran but isn't long enough to use with the seats in the boot. Although the cable just reaches from the power socket in the boot to the head rests on the rear seats it isn't long enough to be tucked away under the mats to avoid getting caught on feet and not long enough to allow the rear seats to fold down to give access to the seats in the boot.Another problem is inlike my older Nextbase players the buttons are on the top of the player which means they can't be seen while sitting especially by children. This means the kids have had to learn where the buttons are and operate them by touch which is not ideal.Finally The DVD compartment is hinged at the bottom and folds forward. This means the disk is put in by leaning over the open screen. This is also awkward for the smaller children <1.5m.Despite the niggles these still get four stars because the disks play nicely the screens are great and for normal rear seat usage the cables are very neat.
Very good These were very easy to fit and work very well kept my son quiet for several hours although now every time we get in the car we get daddy car TV on! but that's hardly the product's fault. The remote even works from the front seat so we don't have to crane round to operate it though that does require recognising the menu music on Cars Nemo etc so we know when to press play!. The unit stays still while driving even though my headrests aren't that well shaped to allow them to lie perfectly flat the power cables are tidy enough that they can be kept out of the way of the gear stick handbrake etc and the carry bag is well designed and very useful for keeping it all packed away when not in use.
think twice We were disappointed by this product.It is advertised as a portable DVD players and it is not. It does not have it's own internal battery and thus can only be used either plugged into the car or plugged into the mains.Separate battery packs are available but these are £30 each so you need to add another £60 plus to this purchase price. Also the reviews of the battery life are not good.We shall be buying two mobile DVD players
Nextbase Click 7 duo deluxe We do a lot of travelling and with young children can be frustating. This is the best thing we have bought for them. They love it in the car to watch their movies they can take it inside at a friend or plug into the tv and watch their favourites. The quality is superb.
Had a problem but resolved well I actually bought these elsewhere the ones with 2 independent players and got them for around £140 at M&S. Seems like a great product plays fine if playing from USB etc it helps to recode the movies to a suitable resolution but no great problem.After around 10 months one of them failed with the white screen mentioned in another review. M&S would not replace as they no longer stock them and would only refund. That would have left me having to stump up the extra £80 or so to replace them as they are a good product that we have used on a few family trips. So I called the manufacturer and sent off the defective unit registered post at my cost around £7 with proof of purchase. 1 week later I have the device back with a replaced LCD screen. Fantastic service well done.I really do like the devices as they excellent just watch out for the screen failing but keep proof of purchase and consider extended warranty for this service from manufacturer was excellent to resolve this.Bright sunlight and dark movies do not go well but show me a player like these where that is not the case..
A few teething problems but until now working well. I bought the players in preparation for a touring holiday this summer and overall I am pleased with the product. I also am impressed with the carrying case that makes stowing the players wires etc. away fast and practical. My first impressions were that the players were a little flimsy and probably would not last very long and one seems to work better that the other but only time will tell. I also had a slight problem connecting the players in a rental car SAAB Estate as they would not work from the power socket located in the front middle console unlike the Tom Tom that worked perfectly. However after locating an additional socket in the boot the players worked well.
Concerned The first one of these that I ordered had a fault with the 12V car power cable so it was returned and a replacement arrived within a few days. It too had a fault with the 12V car power cable.
Didn't work We got the DVDs as we had a long journey planned going from Glasgow to Northern Wales for a holiday. We have 3 children ages 5 3 and 1 and we thought buying the DVD would be a lifesaver. Everything arrived just in time and we tried to put it all in for the trip however once everything was in we discovered the DVDs wouldnt work. We left on our holidays and thought we would sort it while there we believe its the connector to the car as they work in the house. However we were away for a while with no internet connection and now it is too late to return the goods even though they were faulty. I would have thought they could have given more time than they had. Especially as its not our fault. Also it just says to send to Amazon but we found getting the contact address a bit of a nightmare.
quiet kids! We bought these to keep the kids entertained on long journeys and they definitely do that. They are easy to install and get up and running. I initially thought they were a little quiet but i had to turn them down once we were on the road. The only downside is that you end up watching the film in your minds eye as you listen to it from the front seats. Would definitely recommend them.
